Exploring the World with Unifi Flight Benefits

For many Unifi employees, flight benefits are more than just a perk. They are a gateway to adventure, connection, and experiences that last a lifetime. From exploring faraway cities to making spontaneous weekend plans, these benefits open doors to places and moments that might otherwise remain out of reach. Hear from some of our frontline employees from Fargo, North Dakota, on their recent adventures:

For Grant Hemberger, a cross-trained agent and college student, flight benefits have been the key to seeing the world while balancing a busy academic schedule. He often makes spontaneous travel decisions when seats look open, a flexibility that has taken him to Iceland, Amsterdam, London, and Rome, sometimes alongside coworkers who have become close friends. “Having flight benefits unlocks so many amazing opportunities that would not otherwise be possible,” he says.

Cade Dawson, a supervisor, is about as adventurous as they come, especially when it comes to solo travel. His very first trip using flight benefits took him across the Atlantic to Barcelona for a week, an experience he calls “second to none.” The people, the food and the energy of the city left such an impression that he is already planning a return. Since then, Cade’s passport has filled with stamps, including a memorable week in Venice, Italy. “We had to take a couple of goofy routes to get there, flying into Rome and taking a train, but it was all worth it,” Cade says. “Once you realize how far your flight benefits get you, you are always thinking about where to go next.”

Kathryn Clancy-Lincicum, a cross-trained agent, has taken a different approach by making the most of every possible travel opportunity. Since joining Unifi nearly three years ago, she has visited 24 airports, traveled 60,778 miles, and flown 117 flights, which is the equivalent of circling the globe 2.4 times. Her journeys have taken her to 16 states and 3 countries, with highlights like attending the Super Bowl in Phoenix, visiting the Kentucky Derby, and taking a whirlwind 14-hour solo trip to Amsterdam. “I always find the best time to travel is early in the morning,” Kathryn says. “Give yourself extra days just in case you cannot make your planned flight, and always have a backup plan.”

Kent Hagen, a station manager, admits he does not use his benefits as often as some people. When he does, it is for something truly special. Last spring, he took his daughter Kennedy to Alaska, marking her 50th state visited. Past travels have taken him from Puerto Rico to Maine to Hawaii, and as a devoted NDSU Bison football fan, he also uses his benefits to catch away games in person. This fall, that means trips to Charleston, South Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee.

From bucket-list trips to quick getaways, Unifi flight benefits are helping employees turn travel dreams into reality, one boarding pass at a time. Whether it is exploring a new country, reconnecting with family, or cheering on a favorite sports team, the destinations are endless and the memories last forever.
