We are proud to share that Viggo, part of the Unifi family, has been awarded a final ground handling license at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol following a provisional award earlier this year. Beginning March 28, 2027, Viggo will be one of three companies licensed to provide ramp and baggage handling services at Schiphol for a seven-year term.
Viggo began operating at Schiphol in 2021 and has since grown to become the airport’s second-largest ground handler. Securing one of Schiphol’s highly competitive ground handling licenses is a major accomplishment for the company and reflects the work Viggo has done to build a stable, professional operation and strong relationships with airline and airport partners.

“This is a milestone for Viggo, for Unifi and for everyone who has worked to build our presence in Europe,” explains Henk Teunis, president of Unifi Europe. “The result confirms what we believed when Viggo joined Unifi: Its people and the way they run their operation are exceptional. We are proud of what the team has accomplished and confident in its plan for the next phase.”
This prestigious award marks an important milestone for Viggo and strengthens Unifi’s growing presence in Europe as we continue investing in the future of aviation services.
