Empowering People Through Technology: Unifi leads the way at global tech conference

The future of the way we work is imminent—one where AI doesn’t replace people, it empowers them.

That was the message shared by Sandeep Angra, Unifi Chief Technology Officer as Unifi took the stage at UKG Aspire, joining workforce innovators and business leaders to discuss how technology can create a more human-centered workplace.

During his keynote, Sandeep highlighted Unifi’s progress in using technology to integrate HR systems to not only improve operations, but—more importantly—enhance the experience of Unifi’s 45,000 employees. From smarter scheduling to more transparent communication, these tools are helping teams gain more flexibility, autonomy and connection in how they work.

“The goal isn’t to replace people with technology—it’s to use technology to help them thrive,” Sandeep said. “In a complex, people-centric business like ours, we’re proving that when you take care of your people, they take care of the business.”

This approach is also paying off for our customers—the airlines. We’re able to deliver punctual, reliable service for every single flight with faster turnaround times, accurate and predictable schedules and agents who are complying with regulations.

UKG Aspire highlighted that the most powerful innovations are those designed with people at the center. The goal is to implement technology that not only drives efficiency, but also fosters belonging, balance, and opportunity.

Sandeep encouraged attendees to look at ways of incorporating AI into our technology platforms with a people-first mindset. “Our teams are ready for this advancement of a fully integrated ecosystem that makes workforce management seamless-connecting people, data and decisions effortlessly, he said.”
